All our facilities are designed at 68.5 percent capacity factor. If we get imported uranium, we can go up to 90 percent capacity factor. Which means one-fifth of capacity factor can be added without (any) cost.

In the case of thorium-based nuclear plants, India has one 40MW plant that has been in operation for the past 20 years. It is an experimental reactor and has provided the design inputs. Now the construction of a 500MW fast breeder reactor has been taken up.
