That is the opposite of what we should have happen. Out in this part of the country our yields can be variable, it can be dry and then it can be very wet.
We have been collecting yield data since 1996.
Our goal is to really push the high yield areas and save inputs on the low yield areas.
Out here I have seen some detriment to yields from planting too thick. Two years ago we had a drought and thicker corn hurt us.
