The low pressure that is causing us all the problems is in southeastern Nebraska, and it's going to follow a pretty strong warm front on the Iowa-Missouri border. Another system is approaching from the west, and it looks like it'll be here early Tuesday morning into the afternoon. Tuesday looks like a really good chance of showers and thunderstorms.

The witching hour was basically from 6 to 10 o'clock, and now we're just mopping up so to speak. The storm seemed to be weakening and separating as it moved into central Iowa.

We had 5 1/2 inches of snowfall, and it's melting fast. We're at 29 or 30 degrees, so it's amazing what the sun does to snow.

Combine that with sunshine, and you're going to get some warm temperatures, especially for this time of year, when spring is pretty volatile.

We were definitely in drought conditions. It's nice to get little shots of precipitation instead of one big gulp, which we really don't need. This will really help the farmers out.

Snow is going to help the precipitation for southern Iowa since they've been going through a bit of a drought. That's really going to help farmers, crops and the spring outlook.
