We've been a in a lot of close games. We just haven't been getting the right bounces. We're only a few points from having at least four or five more wins.

That was very disappointing the way we played in the first quarter. I thought we looked very nervous and kind of passive. I don't know if the kids read a little bit too much into Coffman's record. They are an extremely good team. They're very big and they're very well coached. They're not going to hurt themselves.

Most teams come out and try to play man defense on us. They don't usually stay with it very long, though. They'll go to some kind of zone and put two, maybe three bodies on her when she gets in the paint.

We played maybe as well as we have all year in that first game (with Jerome).

Her footwork is much better this year. She has a great sense around the basket. She's not selfish, either. She knows when to give the ball up or take it to the basket. She can do so many things. She's developing a real nice touch from the perimeter, too.

I give the girls a lot of credit. When things aren't going your way, it's easy to pack it in. They're not doing that. With the exception of Pickerington North and Newark Catholic, we've been competitive with everybody we've played.

She's really taken on a leadership role this year and that's hard when you're only a sophomore, and a younger sophomore at that. She's a great athlete and a tremendous student. The sky's the limit for her.
