"Stephen Mandel" is a Canada/Canadian politician currently serving as Minister of Health in the Alberta Government. Previously, he served as mayor of Edmonton, Alberta from 2004 to 2013. He was elected to three terms as mayor, in 2004, 2007, and 2010, after sitting on council as a councillor for three years.

On September 15, 2014, he was appointed to the provincial cabinet of Premier Jim Prentice as Minister of Health, despite not holding a seat in the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. He was subsequently named as the Alberta Progressive Conservative Party's candidate in a by-election in Edmonton-Whitemud, the seat formerly held by Dave Hancock, which has been scheduled for October 27, 2014.
