Our defense kept bending and bending and giving up things here and there, but they never really broke. I thought that showed a lot of perseverance in the way they played.

We talked about consistency this week in practice and that's what we got tonight. Our season is still about getting better week to week. That's our focus.

Orlando came up with a big sack and had been consistent all night in making plays. Of course Micah played pretty well on defense and had some big runs. He capped it with the last run of the game and that was important.

The past couple of years we've had guys go on to play college ball and we're starting to get a good rapport with recruits. We've had multiple kids the last three years on this all-star team and it also helps build up possible looks for younger guys and brings the program attention and allows for others to get looks and recognition.

To be chosen to represent your state is an honor and so is getting to coach your guys one last time. I'm excited to work with a great coaching staff, and great players for a week. It's really my first all-star game and I'm excited.

Defense and penalties – I thought we reduced a lot of those things. It was a team effort for us and I'm proud of the way we played.
