This is pretty good, and a much higher turnout than we expected. A single bond issue usually gets only about 20 to 25 percent turnout.
The longer they take to set regulations or set criteria, the less likely it is that any state would be likely to comply.
I see no excuse at all for people not voting.
We have set a policy that if they're on the general election ballot and they're a special district, there would not be a charge.
I'm disappointed for the city. I feel bad for them because they're paying as if everybody was going to go out there and vote.
