"Shane Albert Doan" is a Canada/Canadian professional ice hockey forward (ice hockey)/forward who serves as Captain (ice hockey)/captain of the Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League (NHL). He has played his entire career with the Coyotes, joining the team in 1995 when they were the original Winnipeg Jets (1972–96)/Winnipeg Jets. He is the last remaining player left from the Jets/Coyotes team when they moved to Phoenix, and the only player currently active in the NHL from the original Winnipeg Jets.

Competing internationally for Canada men's national ice hockey team/Team Canada, Doan has won two gold medals and three silvers at the Ice Hockey World Championships/World Championships as well as one World Cup of Hockey/World Cup championship in 2004 World Cup of Hockey/2004. He was also a member of Canada's Ice hockey at the 2006 Winter Olympics/2006 Winter Olympic team.

He's a fiery guy. The way he played is the way he coached, and you love that as a player to know that your coach is on your side and is into the game as much as you are.
