We expect to win every year ? every game. The losses hurt, but we've got to think about getting better and not dwell on the negative. We've got to learn from this and turn things around.

It seems that we were able to string some hits together and quit hitting the ball right at people. I'm happy with the effort, but we're still far from where we want to be. We're still making some mistakes in close games that cost us in the first half.

We had too many chances to break the game open early. We could have tacked on some runs and made it a lopsided game, but we hurt ourselves by leaving the bases loaded in the first two innings.

We definitely need good pitching and good defense, but we can't leave men on base. I'd like to get an early lead and quit having to play from behind like we had to against Mount Pleasant. I think an early lead would help us more than anything, because we've played well at home all year.

They just got some timely hits and we didn't. We're playing a similar game, but Paris just found a way to win it tonight.

We're excited, and I'm happy for the kids, because they deserve to win. We hope this can carry us to where we want to be, and it's no secret we have to win out. This was a good start to possibly doing that.

We played well enough to win again but haven't found the holes on offense in the last two games. It's hard to guess the mindset of our guys right now, because it's tough to lose a game like this. I know they would like to go out with a win and finish on a good note.

Our guys have played hard, including the first five games. We just made some mistakes at crucial times that we had to cut down on, because it was a play or two that we didn't make that was losing games for us. We've cut down on those, and that has been the difference so far.
