"Scott Matthews", is a singer/songwriter from Wolverhampton, England.

His first album Passing Stranger was released on 13 March 2006 on San Remo Records before being re-released on Island Records later in the year. Janice Long was the first of the BBC DJs to play his music. Soon, tracks from Passing Stranger were also being played by Mark Radcliffe and Bob Harris (radio)/Bob Harris on BBC Radio 2. In April, Scott played sessions on BBC Radio 2 & BBC 6 Music.

Matthews' first single "Elusive" was released in September. The single received much airplay from BBC Radio DJs Jo Whiley, Dermot O'Leary, and Zane Lowe. Between 7–10 August, Lowe played "Elusive" once each night as his chosen Single of the Week. Matthews also visited the station to perform "Elusive" and other songs from the album in May and August 2006. In May 2007, he won the Ivor Novello Award for "Best Song Musically and Lyrically" for "Elusive".

Matthews notes amongst his influences a number of artists, most notably The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, Joni Mitchell, Marc Bolan, and Joe Satriani.

Lew [Leone] and I think it's probably not a good idea to have one anchor team muscle through three shows. We thought we needed to create a new team. [The 6 p.m. slot] is not our strongest, and I think adding some teams may add some momentum.

As they come, we ask to see their number. Sometimes they have to dig down under several layers of clothing because the start is up in elevation. We get some funny looks. Who would get up at 4 a.m. in the morning if they weren't going to run?

Here at the Green Design Initiative, we're concerned that most will go to landfills.

She's kept us in a number of games. We're a D-II team playing five or six D-I teams. The difference is the speed. D-I comes at you in waves.

Think outside the box as to what to do with these things, ... When you run out of family members to pass things on to, don't store them--recycle them.

Sometimes stories get embellished. But it's a special event with the city.

We found that the equipment is not going to landfills in the volume we thought they would, ... But the problem isn't solved. It's delayed. People aren't throwing the equipment away. They're storing their computers. Even here, where we know better, we have rooms full of computers.

We were down a key player in each of those games and they were close (one-goal losses) with the exception of Burlington and the psyche got to the girls a little there. We played really well and were competitive with the D-I teams so this is a big game for us.
