Unless you write down the amount, pay for it with a check and track it, the totals can easily get out of control. Five dollars for lunch, $3 for something cute ? it all adds up.

When asked how much do you spend on expenses, I get one set of answers, yet when I look through your bank statements, there is a different picture. Based on what you say you earn and what you say you spend, you should have around $1,000 a month after expenses. But you don't.

With diligent work, you should be able to tame your debt. (But there) will need to be a change in the way you think, from that of spenders to the mentality of savers.
