I'd say that there is certainly a move toward a form of filmmaking that is political with a small p -- has a degree of engagement with the world at large.

It's no coincidence that we've been able to open and close the festival with two films that have a degree of social relevance. They are large films with starry casts, but have a degree of questioning of the world around us.

There's a healthy industry aspect, but it's all about the public.
