There's a trend towards fairness, not only in the decision making, but also in polling [residents] state-by-state.
The opposition is trying to drive a wedge between LGBT individuals and people of color. This campaign is to show that communities of color support us.
It's important to show our victories but also our defeat of the mean-spirited anti-gay legislation being put forward by the opposition. It's really an attack on children and families.
Conservatives can hopefully look at this case and see that we are real people and see that the level of commitment we have to each other is no more and no less than any other couple.
We say 'thank heavens' this couple was living in Massachusetts and were married and were able to take care of each other.
