We made the shots to win the game. They just had enough time to get one off.

We have so many talented guards and we wait to see who?s going to step up on any given night. Tonight was Kristin?s night. She did everything well. ... She played with confidence and that?s something we need out of her.

We figured we would turn the ball over no matter what. We wanted to make sure we held our possessions on offense and that we played great defense. Our defense keeps us in every single game.

We told the girls all week if we could keep them between 45 and 55 points we would be in the game. They did even better than that. We prided ourselves on defense all year. That's a very talented team we held in check.

It ended up working out great. For the seniors, I hope it was a memorable night. They all made contributions to the win. They all played enough minutes. Each of them got a couple baskets.

On Nov. 22 we set out on this journey. We wanted to play on March 11. That?s been our goal. It?s been four months coming, and to get there, I can?t describe the feeling. It?s the best feeling in the world.

First and foremost, the reason we won this game was a team defensive effort.

It?s a testament to the program that?s been built over the last seven-to-10 years. It?s really a testament to the girls. This is just as special to them this year as it was last year.
