We did a pretty good job on offense, but we didn't think we played defense as well as we should. Some of that is adjustments we have to make, and some of it is kids who need to do a better job.
I think the Taylor kid is going to be a heck of a runner. We'll be giving him a lot of responsibility this year. We have a lot of confidence in him.
They have a lot of years in the system. They're experienced. It's a large school with good personnel.
He was one of our best tacklers last year. He's playing rover back this year (on defense), so he's going to have the opportunity to make a lot of plays.
The kids are trying to adjust to him being gone. We hope we'll rebound. Last week wasn't much fun ... We had considerable breakdowns last week, and we have to try to rebuild a little of the momentum.
We have a couple of other players who are dinged up, but none too bad that they shouldn't be ready by Friday.
I've seen two of their three games, and they're real solid on offense. It's probably the best Coupeville team I've seen in three or four years.
