Custodial parents are very familiar with when their exes are sending in their checks to the state and they know that three days later their checks are supposed to be in the bank. If the checks were sent to the state on those three days after the fire, they have been processed and they will be posted to bank accounts by Tuesday at the latest, if they haven't been already.

There will always be those who will avoid paying and then we have to go back to the courts.

DHS looked at the family to see if there was anything anybody else did, besides Roger (Bentley), to put the child in harm's way.

We hope that (non-custodial parents) want to be more then just a check.

For every $1 of taxpayer's money used for collecting child support, the state collects $5.58.
