It's a serious matter. To leave it in our hands when we're not out there, they may get a call they didn't bargain for.

Tony five minutes after a race and Tony two hours after a race, like all the drivers, is two different things.

We have sent him home ... as a follow-up to his violation (Friday), ... What was the quote that (NASCAR President Mike) Helton used the other day in the drivers' meeting? That it was `a distraction.' And these were repeat offenders.

[Pemberton, however, says Childress and others who speak out against NASCAR don't have to worry about being punished.] I used to speak out against them, and now I'm (working) here, ... So I don't think that that's fair to say.

It's not a call that's going to be fun to make. Hopefully the drivers will remember that they're in control.

Our guys do the same job, week in and week out.

These were repeat offenders.
