Jim Gibbons has continued to run a positive campaign. He's talking about the future of Nevada.

We think this (the joke release) is typical of Beers' campaign, which is geared toward misleading the public. Bob Beers claims to be a holier-than-thou fiscal conservative, but as a legislator, he created the government spending he's complaining about.

They created an e-mail account to mislead voters. It's what we've come to expect from the Bob Beers campaign.

(Gibbons) would certainly like to be able to provide increased pay for teachers who are truly meeting expectations. He does believe that in order to recruit the best and brightest, it would be nice if we could increase salaries. There's a lot of needs in this state.

These numbers aren't a whole lot different than a year ago despite the fact that we've had four candidates taking shots at us for the last year. Jim Gibbons has been able to weather all that.

If we're going to become less reliant on foreign energy, we're going to have to let business explore and produce sources of energy here at home. You can't have it both ways.

We're happy he's decided to finally retract his misleading release. We hope to continue focusing on the campaign.

You can't just do a 180 shift overnight to renewable energy. We need companies to invest and consumers fed up with energy bills to create the demand.

Jim gibbons is anxious to debate his opponents and we'll do it as soon as we know who his opponents are but he has a full-time day job he was elected to, and we have to balance that out with campaigning.
