Our intention is for people to treat it as it is a warning and to take action.
You've got to be prepared both a day in advance really to keep up with what's going on and the day of the event knowing that severe weather's possible and certainly when something specific like a tornado to developed.
Weather radios are absolutely critical for people to be alerted of tornado warnings, severe weather warnings especially in the over night hours.
When we issue a warning, watch or advisory it will light up flash and give an audible tone. If it's overnight it will wake you up.
