It was civil and the parties were reasonable. But I could tell there were strong feelings on both sides, both parties believed very strongly in the correctness of their positions.

Once the lawyers have a chance to wordsmith it, they will take it to their councils for a vote. I don't think there will be a need for us to get back together again.

We have reached an agreement in concept. There is still one wrinkle that needs to be worked out. And there is still a little bit of due diligence left to do. This agreement would resolve all the annexation disputes and decide which city would provide services.

Both sides will still have to take the agreement back to their respective councils. I am reasonably certain we have put it to bed, but I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch.
