It's not fair for them (sheriff's workers) to get more than other county employees unless it comes from the law-enforcement sales tax. When that money comes in, I don't care if you give them 100 percent.

I gave everyone 2 percent and allowed an additional 3 percent for your workers at midyear, which an auditor has a right to do.

The NRC is renowned as being a hostile forum for citizens. It's very hard to get information. It's very hard to really meaningfully participate in the decision-making process.

I find it curious that the NRC lawyers actually aggressively try to exclude citizens from the process.

Security's not just a day-to-day concern. In this case, it is a structural issue as well. The structure of the plant doesn't protect against this type of attack. If it was being built from scratch today, it could be designed to protect against one.

This decision is helpful because sometimes we find that citizens [at first] either don't know who to sue about a problem or they don't get organized to sue in time.
