Part of it is me, part of it is allowing them to be who they are. I love to teach young people.
These children are growing up with entertainment, not art. When I teach them I try to mix in a little of both, but I also teach them to be committed to an ideal.
Every step of the way, I have the students question an idea, and ask how what we say matches what we do. Students say 'I love America,' but what they should also be saying is 'I love Americans.' It's about bringing the idea back to the people.
