I'll be honest, it was looking kind of rough when the season started. We were losing by some big margins, but instead of them getting sad about it and feeling sorry for themselves, they just kept working harder and harder and harder. They're just a great group to work with.

I know all of the calls and stuff, I just am not the one necessarily calling them out. I usually just have to listen to them. I have to get in that book a little. I'm going in with the mindset that I might have to play the game. I don't know how long the starters will be in there but it looks like I might have to go in there with the second unit and play center.

She's been fantastic as the link between me and the players who came back from last year. She's been a stabilizing force. If someone on the team has problems, she handles all that stuff.

I knew the athletic talent was there, I just felt they had to get the basketball part of it.

You can see they have some talent in places, and they have some needs in places. I think I'd be a good fit.

I've been taking a few reps in mini camp and stuff so we'll just have to wait and see what happens when the lights come on. My whole life I have been a pretty good athlete, so I have always been the back up center in emergency situations. This is the first time I have been around something like this so we'll see how it goes.

Laura is a more well-rounded and complete player across the board. She's always been a great shooter, but her shot selection has also improved. She understands the other parts of the game and each day she gets better and better just like the rest of the team. As she plays better, she makes everybody else play better.

The guys who came in definitely handled it very well.

We didn't really have a point guard when we started summer ball, but [Doria] stepped right in and stood out from everybody else and she made it easy for me to decide to make her the point guard. She has a talent for the position.
