We can run anywhere we want today and not have to pay for it.

One thing you find out when you net a lake this size is there's a lot of variability. One net will be loaded with fish, and another will have hardly any. You try to reduce the variability with a larger sample size.

There's still young-of-the-year fish out here, but it's not what you would label a strong year-class, that's for sure. I was hoping for something exciting this fall with the yellow perch catch, but it's not going to materialize.

We know that, but whether one can do anything about it is another thing. We will try to stock perch again next spring, judging by what we're getting here.

We haven't seen anything close to that in the last four years.
