I understand the business decision that was made. I'm just tired of this extortion. This thing is a ridiculous red herring.

They've taken this hammer and basically tried to impose legal restrictions via contract. And I don't know with the great majority of the public, if it is going to sit that well, it is a little heavy handed.

For a homeowner like myself, it's not necessary. I've got a safe. That's my smart gun technology. My wife knows the combination. None of my kids do and to date, none of them know how to use a welding torch, so I don't think they're going to get in there.

The commission is an absurd concept. It's overly broad. It's more powerful than any regulatory agency.

It is a naked attempt at gun control. It is not hidden whatsoever. When you do away with the commercial market, in their best-case scenario, by bankrupting the gun manufacturers, the only people that are going to have (guns) are police officers.

Nobody's going to drop any of these lawsuits unless we sign on to the commission, and we will never do that.

It's not a reasonable agreement. They're going to try to control a consumer's behavior.

Our take on it is that if it is developed, it has to be reliable and affordable, and once those two things are accomplished, I'm sure whoever does it will have an early retirement.
