We're not looking past Amarillo, but we feel like after beating North Crowley we're the better team going in. Man, these kids are confident.

I prefer the underdog role. I think the girls are more relaxed that way. We're looking forward to going down there and representing El Paso the best we can.

Nobody expected us to be here, crashing the party. It's hard for me to express in words right now how proud I am of these girls. I'm especially proud of the seniors. When they were sophomores they went through a particularly hard season and stuck with it. Now, two years later, they're in the Sweet 16. It's a special group of seniors.

A lot of people were saying that our season was going to end, but these girls have a lot of heart. I can't stop smiling. I don't know if anything will be able to match this. I'm so proud of these girls. They never gave up.
