I knew Ed's intentions were good. Ed is just a basketball guy and that's what I appreciate about him the most. He's going to add a lot to any bench he chooses to be on. He's a big part of our history and tradition here. I think if I had been here five years instead of 17 years, I would have still felt good about him coming over here because I know him so well.

They are the quickest team in the league at every position. They have four guys out on the court most of the time that can really shoot the lights out with the 3.

They've done a great job of mining their hometown talent. It's been the reason they've developed the consistency at the top that they have.

If he's 64, he's 29 inside his body. He's taken care of himself as far of the outside of his body, but inside he's a 30-year-old man. He's got the same attitude and enthusiasm as when I first met him.

I never forgot how Ed took me in as an assistant here [1987-88] when my father [Charlie] got out of coaching at Tech. It ended up being a very good year here and it was probably a year that helped me get the head job here when Ed moved on.

They're quick at every position. They have a player like Adair who you can't guard one-on-one, but when you double off somebody else, every single player they put on the floor can score.
