We have won this election. We have won both the presidential and parliamentary vote.

The volunteer task forces were a major phenomenon in this campaign. Having found that the official task force had members who were also candidates who had to look for their own votes, these groups emerged in different regions and for different purposes specific to those areas.

We congratulate our opponents and call on them to accept our victory.

They are bad losers, but it is up to the population of Uganda to decide.

He has won very convincingly. The president is going to lead Uganda with a very comfortable margin.

The numbers aren't final but we have sampled out polling stations and the trend shows voter turnout will be about 70 percent.

We are satisfied. The Electoral Commission and security services did their bit and the voters conducted themselves well. I think the opposition (Forum for Democratic Change) are bad losers.

The opposition are bad losers...Voting is supposed to be secret. Why do they think all the missing names are their supporters?
