From the time you're a junior, adults keep telling you about patience and hard work and using your head, but until you've been knocked down a few times and have to get back on your feet all by yourself, you probably haven't learned the lessons.

That's what we need, some guys that have done well at their level. I tell them they're far more advanced at their age than I was. I couldn't play like they could when I was in my early 20s.

I can honestly say I've never folded my tent once while playing golf.

We're mainly trying to figure it out (based on who plays different) golf balls. I think it's important in that foursomes match, to get two players that complement each other. Maybe not two short hitters together, but sometimes you get two long hitters and that doesn't work out, as we've seen in Ryder Cups.

I'm just going to put my nose in there and grind it out as hard as I can this week and see whoever is going to be there.

If I can just keep playing steady and build on the momentum, anything can happen. I'm hitting enough quality shots. I feel confident.

It's such a fine margin. The tide can turn that quick.

We're just doing it verbally.

The future of Canadian golf is in good hands.
