Mount Pleasant was a very good team tonight. Their starters were very good. We couldn't get people to step up and get other people scoring.

I really like our depth this year. The kids have great goals and they really want to be consistently good. We have more depth, and I think that means more low scores.

Those road losses led to a really nice win tonight. The preparation and practice were great. We really could have gone one of two ways after those losses. We were ready to play and it's a credit to what the kids have gone through.

I was proud of our kids for how we battled in the second half. We were down by such a deficit and it was a carnival-type of atmosphere in the first half. We played with a lot of heart and desire. There was no quit in the batch that was on the floor.

Chad Davis gave us good minutes off the bench, and I thought we rebounded well.

Fort Madison has a lot of balance and is a very good basketball team. We just didn't get the defensive stops we needed in the third quarter. It just seems like a four-minute span is killing us right now, just as it did at Mount Pleasant.

This was a big game, especially for them. Our kids were ready for the game. We knew it would be physical, and we gave ourselves a chance to win at the end.

It was a very entertaining game, and Scott had the best game of his high school career. We got another great night out of Woody, but neither team could guard its own shadow. We had to dig in and knock down some free throws at the end. This feels pretty good after losing to them by 17 at our place.
