Howard has given so much to Mystic Seaport. He's so willing to share what he knows with visitors and staff alike. He means so much to the place and so much to what Mystic Seaport is about.
In October 2001, the research center opened and has a curatorial office. About 80 percent of the space is storage area and 20 percent is for displays. There is high security, and you must make an appointment with curatorial staff to get in (the building).
