It's hard to know what a private equity firm is going to pay. They want to get it for a discount so they can repackage it and sell it at a premium.

They had a good quarter but there are a number of things that we heard in the conference call to give us pause.

This issue from a financial perspective is relatively small. Every time this kind of thing has come up in the past, they have generally settled the dispute or paid a fine.

It looks like things are on track here. This seeds and traits business looks pretty good. In the past we wouldn't be surprised if they lost money in this seasonally slow quarter.

The corn business did very well. They may be capturing some market share. Those revenues were up pretty substantially, and that really helped to drive profits.

Earnings were better than anticipated, that's good news for Engelhard.

All in all it is a good story, but the problem is that you have a limited upside potential to the stock.

The company continuous to be pretty conservative with its guidance. There is nothing new here.
