He is a natural opener and I'm sure his good form and experience will be hugely important in our promotion chase.

Mick felt a bit of tightness warming up for last week's game, and he was still feeling it yesterday. He hasn't bowled yet, so I would say there is still some doubt over him.

That is what I've heard. But when we went into the season it was never our intention just to avoid going down. We will attempt to win every match and, if we can't, we will go for the draw.

It's great we have been able to secure someone of Brad's experience and talent. The closing weeks will be hugely important for us, especially as the fight for promotion to the First Division is remarkably close. Brad's international experience will undoubtedly contribute to the continued development of the younger members of the squad.

We don't expect to have Mike here until the start of May and it's unlikely Mick will arrive any earlier than that because they will be in Bangladesh.

It was a very good performance and we're obviously very pleased with it. But by the same token we're not getting carried away with it.

We have had some tough years and it's good to have had a successful season. But it's important to see this only as a start. We still have a lot of work to do, but we want to keep a balance between home-produced players and imports.
