In the meantime, we should demand that no B.C. elections take place for the Senate until we are properly recognized as a full-fledged region of this country.

What it means is the most important element in all this is going to be organizational effort on the part of all the parties in each of the ridings across the province.

Although parts of the Interior share a similar political culture with Alberta, B.C. as a whole has about as much in common with Alberta and the Prairies as California has with Texas.

Part of the reality is it's a much longer campaign, but everybody is faced with the same campaign limits as if it was a 36-day campaign.
