It was fast last year because I was still trying to learn the plays. This year, it's slower because I'm a vet now. I was here every day of the summer. I didn't miss a day. And I got faster. (Now), I'm just learning from two good backs.

We weren't worrying about each other. We were aggressive, but we were all trying to make the big play.

They basically let us know that we had done nothing.

I was just telling him we could've done a whole lot better with the D-line. He can expect a lot more of us next game.

Coach was saying that if we had six more people that was in with us then we would have come out with a victory. We have a couple people on the boat, but not everybody.

I was just telling him we can do a lot better. He can expect a lot more from us in the next game.

It's frustrating because it's partly me to blame. I should be in their ears. I've got people back in there trying to be too cool and everything [to yell at other players]. But you're going to see a different team come [our next game in two weeks against] Georgia.

We're trying to build a team right now, and we have a couple of people on the boat but not everybody. Once we've got everybody it's going to be something special.

The key players who were in there [on those plays] invested a lot in the program. [Meyer] really believed they were going to get the job done.
