We're not the Muslim Brotherhood.

We formed in 1993 to make it clear that we don't take our marching orders from anyone overseas, ... We have no connection to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Believe it or not, they pulled the date out of a hat.

These are things that need to be dealt with, because in the final analysis, if we surrender our precious civil liberties, the things that make this nation great, then indeed the terrorists have won.

It is critical that the faith community work together to do all that we can to heal the heart and the land, ... This is the real prophetic mission of all faiths. We are truly encouraged by the solidarity and outpouring of support exhibited by those in the faith community.

We're not trying to prove anything, other than what our faith requires us to do. What goes with our faith is to help others, to respond and show compassion when people need it, and I'm glad we can do it.

I'm still disturbed that a young person in London whose parents were not extremists put a bomb on himself, ... Somebody got to him. We want to make sure our kids aren't being talked to by extremists. We're not immune from it. There are people within the Muslim community who have extreme religious ideas and are not in sync with mainstream Muslims.

A million dollars is a drop in the bucket compared to what is going to be needed, but we're glad to do it, and we hope to raise more.

Unsettling that we have to be reminded of the plight of the poor in America in this manner.
