People don't get them as pets but rather as guard dogs and teach them to be mean or aggressive. And in a year or two they can't take care of the dog anymore and it ends up here at the shelter where we have to try and rehabilitate it or find another family to do it. That all takes time and we don't have a lot of that.

Some are like lap dogs. It all depends on how you raise and treat your dog from day one. You get out of it what you put into it.

Animals are like kids. If you don't show them what to do, they'll do what they want and will find ways to get into trouble.
