"Lucas Edward Neill" is a former Australian professional Association football/footballer who last played for Watford F.C./Watford. Neill played as a Defender (association football)/defender, often playing as a centre back as well as a Defender (association football)#Full back/full back. Neill spent almost 15 years of his career playing in England. He represented Australia at the 2006 FIFA World Cup, the 2007 AFC Asian Cup, the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, and also the 2011 AFC Asian Cup in Qatar. On 6 October 2006 he was named the 50th captain of the Australia national football team/Australian national team. He also played for Millwall F.C./Millwall, Blackburn Rovers F.C./Blackburn Rovers, West Ham United F.C./West Ham United, Everton F.C./Everton, Galatasaray S.K. It's a fantastic achievement for a small club like us. With a small but talented squad we can mix it with the big boys.

It would be nice to get an early mark, ... I'm in favour of going home early because it gives us ideal preparation for our clubs.

But I'd be surprised if it was that easy against the Solomons and the boss (coach Guus Hiddink) is not here yet. He may want to have the full squad together for a longer period.

I think the World Cup is the priority now, it doesn't matter about the money. I think whether it be a hundred dollars or a million dollars, I think the big prize is getting to the World Cup and all the rewards will come from that, both financially, and as a personal success.

There are three games to go and those three games come in a short space of time, and the boys are now counting down five training sessions left for the season.
