Roads really aren't in bad shape. We've probably had 15 or 20 weather-related accidents in the region that required ODOT crews. The snow seemed to come down heavy from 5 to 8 a.m.

We're pretty well-prepared as far as our maintenance budget goes. We're not too worried about hitting bottom.

They'll probably see dump trucks going back and forth. Keep in mind that the major part of this project is away from the existing highway.

The bridge replacement really is one of the first things being done.

For economic reasons, it's going to be very important. The trucking industry will be able to get all their vehicles through between Corvallis and Newport, and that is an important link.

To be perfectly honest, it is a difficult issue for us.

Internally, we are trying to address this issue and see what we can do.
