"Louis Victor Piniella" ( usually /p??n?l?/; born Saturday, August 28, 1943) is a former professional baseball player and manager (baseball)/manager. An outfielder in the Major League Baseball/major leagues, he played five seasons with the Kansas City Royals and eleven seasons with the New York Yankees, then led five teams as manager. Piniella was nicknamed ""Sweet Lou"", both for his swing as a major league hitter and, facetiously, to describe his demeanor as a player and manager. He finished his managerial career ranked 14th all-time on the Major League Baseball all-time managerial wins/list of managerial wins.

We got some pretty good chemistry here. We got some toughness, and it's starting to show.

They are focused. There's no question about it. This is their stretch run, and they've got to make the best of it. They're going to be awfully tough.

It should be a fun weekend. This is good for baseball. One of these teams goes home, and the one that does is a playoff-caliber team.
