I'm smiling. I am so happy. I want to thank God, and I want to thank Governor Rounds.

I know the inner workings of the Legislature and the personalities, and I know it had to be this year. There's a window of time and this is it.

It's the right thing. It's like Martin Luther King's approach ? it's never the wrong time to do what's right. South Dakota is in a unique position to do something for the 800 children aborted every year.

I can promise you that's not going to happen, there's enough people who care about this issue who have come forward already.

I didn't want any of the radicals, the extremists. I didn't want trucks with pictures of dead babies driving around.

This is it. We're number-one on this in our country and I think it's really important for everybody in South Dakota to be thanking their legislators who made this happen.

I think that Planned Parenthood is afraid to go to court. If they want to go about it with the ballot, we're ready for that. We knew that this would possibly come up.

Now is the appropriate time for this legislation.

If we're going to do campaigns, buy ads, and dueling ads now, we're looking at a whole lot more money.
