I had thoughts of last week.

I had been keeping track of him since he played at Tennessee. I would keep in touch with him and speak to him from time to time. I saw a show (on television) about him last night and he was talking about religion and football. To see that, and then to come in today and find out that he passed away, for me, it hurts me deep inside.

They never did get that far.

St. Louis is more humid. But after a while, the heat started taking a toll on us, so we started rotating a little more up front trying to stay fresh out here.

It can't do nothing but get better now. We've played the worst that we can play.

I don't know how it happened, but the only thing I know is I came off the field, and it was hurting real bad.

After the season last year, with seven sacks, I just wanted to get off to a good start. It just so happened we lost the game, so that good start really doesn't mean anything.

It is pretty bizarre, but this team has to get back on the right track. It's tough not having him around but we know in our hearts we've got to go out and try to win the game.

So if we don't fix it, it could be a long night.
