"Christopher 'Kit' Williams" is an English artist, illustrator and author best known for his 1979 book Masquerade (book)/Masquerade, a pictorial storybook which contains clues to the location of a golden (18 carat (purity)/carat) jewelled hare created by Williams and then buried "somewhere in Britain".

Williams published three other books and was commissioned to create three public clocks with elaborate mechanisms and moving parts, such as animals, for visual interest.

Williams continues to paint figurative art at his studio in Gloucestershire, England.

This thing would pay for itself to the city over time. This will generate new sales tax. I don't think anything would have happened on that site. It would have sat there and decayed without the help the city has provided through this redevelopment district. If the project would have worked without the city investing $3 million, then that site would have been developed a long time ago.
