Like every business in America, Wal-Mart is dealing with the soaring cost of health care.

They're not the proper way to address the issue of health care coverage.

We stock hundreds of thousands of items and can make more than 5,000 price changes per week, often lowering prices on certain items during the course of the day. We are constantly working to adjust our prices to offer our customers the best possible price.

What they're missing is that Wal-Mart is helping thousands of Americans gain access to private health plans.

Hopefully, Mississippi lawmakers will continue realize these employer mandates are bad for working families.

Certainly, the data collection needs to be examined. This is absolutely a pro-union effort, supported by union leaders and members of Congress and state legislatures with ties to unions.

We're going to work to educate the legislature and work with them to find meaningful ways to address the real issue of the soaring cost of health care. But this legislation will do nothing to accomplish that goal.

These bills don't address the cost of health care.
