We weren't trying to slow him down, we were trying to shut him out. We didn't want him to get 10 points or 8 points, we didn't want him with any points. We threw everything at him and he still scored double figures. That just shows what kind of player he is.
I wanted the kids to experience this, because I got to experience it myself. They'll cherish this for the rest of their lives.
This is a big win, because all of the top teams will be playing each other (in the next week).
He played excellent. He played within himself, got rid of the ball before the double teams came, played solid defense, rebounded.
I'm shaking right now. I thought we were in trouble going into overtime, but these kids weren't. They're too overconfident.
They're extremely quick and they all know what they're doing at all times. They get out and play defense and have all the lanes covered. They're so disciplined.
It's too bad we can't enjoy this for long because states is right around the corner.
