I'm learning every day. He's been a joy to work with.

We're going to have many more times where it's going to come out in our favor. I really feel that. You've just got be professional and just keep going out there and preparing. I'm anxious just to get back in the bullpen with him and start again and get ready for our start in Baltimore.

People are making a big deal about him throwing inside. He's working hard at it and he's showing confidence.

I'm a big Denver sports fan. I guess you can say that it's a little bit toward that, but more so just doubling up sevens.

You either give energy to the team or take it away. A guy can hit a home run and give energy to the team. But a good defensive play can give just as much energy.

Wake really speaks for himself. What a great job he did today. In the first inning, it could have gotten away from him. It could have gotten away from him a couple of times during the game, and he really bowed his neck and made good pitches.

No, it didn't hit him. [But] that pitch was more in and less up than the pitch to Duffy.

I take this as a first step. It's not the way I wanted it to go, but you just got to keep going and keep pushing. I'll watch the tape [Wednesday] and see if there's anything I can do mechanically. I felt like I was prepared and I felt like I battled my tail off. It was just of one of those nights.

Each day, it just seems like there's one or two balls that I catch that I have no business catching those balls. And there's one or two balls that I should catch that I miss. It's kind of give and take. Each time I go out there, it feels more and more comfortable.
