They always have a record of having the best. It was a program I wanted to be a part of. Coming here, I knew I was going to be focused. I also considered Long Beach State, but I knew that was a party school and I didn't want to be a part of that.

I don't really know what to expect. We look at it like any other game. We want to keep the focus more on our side than on who we are playing. We need to get our team chemistry down for our upcoming matches.

That first match I was so anxious. My body was exhausted and my mouth was really dry. I'd never played in front of a crowd like that.

We just have to play our game. If everyone has a good night and we have even sets and kills, we'll be fine.

He's awesome, he deserves it. He is the most dominant player right now. He can't be stopped.

It's an adjustment to being a role player. In junior college I was more of the go-to guy. And the sets come a lot faster at this level compared to junior college. Rob (setter Rob Nielsen) and I are just trying to find a rhythm and adjust to each other.

I'm excited to play them. They have a big opposite hitter and when I came on my recruiting trip last year, BYU played UCSB in the MPSF playoffs. This weekend should be another good fight.
