We've tried to beat them for years, haven't we?

We did OK. We played better than we did the first day ... change in focus, change in attitude. (They didn't come out ready to play. I was real pleased with leadership; the players came out and did it themselves.

I know West Mesa's an up-and-coming program. They've been building steadily. We're going to have to be physical all the time because we're small.

It's a huge step above, in my opinion; a good test for us. I've maintained one of our strengths is our depth. I wish we had three or four more days (to get ready). This is the hardest (pre-district slate) we've ever had - just the Sandia Prep tournament - three defending state champs.

They knew they had a huge height advantage on us - so they crossed, crossed, crossed, crossed. Wally has to come out and win a lot of those high balls.

Now that Andrew's over his hamstring injury, it's nice to have him.

If Andrew's the guy that finishes it, Andrew's the guy that finishes it.

We continued our steps of improvement from the West Mesa game; we continued with the same steps and even did better. That was maybe our most quality win; that and Los Alamos. We did what we're supposed to do.
