At times, we played our best basketball of the year against them. Our kids came out of that game understanding we can compete with those teams.

It's back to the old style. We're going to have to grind out wins with our defense. We're just not going to score a lot of points.

We need a couple more players to give us six to eight points a game. If we can get to 40 points, we'll win a lot of games.

I have no intentions of changing our non-league schedule. We want to be at another level when league rolls around. League should count for something.

I believe the Pinewood game carried over into the Salinas game.

It's pretty cut and dried.

The big thing is they have seniors and a good point guard. Those girls have been playing together for three years. They're an older team in our league.

Defense has always been our forte. Even with our good teams, our program's based on defense. We can control our effort on defense.

We have some outside presence with them. Both have learned not to be afraid to shoot. It's a development thing.
