The key to our season will be out there on the bump (the pitchers mound). I think we can swing the bat and score runs. The big question will be if we can throw it. If we get some guys to step up and throw some good innings for us we can have a good year.

He is one of the best kids we've ever had here. And that's not talking about any of his on-the-field stuff.

We thought we'd try to get him some pitches. He's still not seeing a whole lot, but he gets on base and scores runs. What more could you ask for in a lead-off guy?

Heath is a good pitcher. I've seen him pitch in all-star camps and this was not how he usually pitches. I guess some days you have it and other days you don't.

He (Williams) did very well for us. He may not throw the hardest, but people aren't getting good swings off him. It really is pretty amazing that he has come all the way back from not making the team to being our most consistent guy. He has worked hard and battled to become a top-line guy.

He has that smile that just captures people. He's early to practice, smile on his face, 'How you doing, coach?' He's the last guy to leave, smile on his face, 'See you tomorrow, coach.' He's that way no matter how the day has gone. He is just a great kid. He makes everyone around him happy.
